SELCO Commission

The SELCO Commission is granted its authority, responsibilities, and obligations under MGL c.164. The five member board is appointed by the Town Manager on staggered three year terms as outlined in the Town's By Laws.


The Commission meets periodically in posted open meeting with the General Manager and staff of the electric and cable departments to:


  • Receive and discuss reports on departmental operations and financial information

  • Approve budgets and payments of bills

  • Set rates, terms and conditions for service

  • Establish other policies necessary for the efficient and effective delivery of electric, CATV and Internet services to the residents and business in the Town of Shrewsbury
